It's been a while since there was a post with a relatively large number of photos. Today there are 15 of them, and they are very beautiful.
\nBecause the story will be about one of the most beautiful places in the Caucasus, the upper reaches of the Kichkinekol Gorge
\nin Uzunkol (Karachay-Cherkessia), which is crowned by the so-called Kichkinekolskaya horseshoe
\nof the five formidable peaks, only slightly less than 4 kilometers in height: Filter, Castle, Twins,
\nTrapeze, and, of course, the majestic Dalar, according to Svan legend, the throne of the goddess of forests and hunting,
\nwith a stunning vertical kilometer-long rock wall.<\/p>\n

Half an hour's walk from the Uzunkol alpine camp, the wonderful pine forest ends and the upper reaches of the Kichkinekol open up. The peaks of Filter, Zamok, Dvoynyashki and the rightmost one, mostly hidden by spurs, Dalar, 3979 m, are visible.<\/p>\n

Once upon a time, when I was still in mountaineering, not mountain tourism, the instructor of our department was Vladimir Kaprov, who told a story about how he and four other climbers "caught" ball lightning on the summit ridge of Trapeze in 1978. This story from Vladimir Kavunenko, who was also in that tent, can be read here: http:\/\/www.kmvline.ru\/lib\/kavunenko\/18.php<\/a>. In those days, their friend Yuri Vizbor composed a song: "What do we care, we are warm and cozy, and we drink tea all evening. If only those who are on the route now could go down to the camp tomorrow." In short, a legendary peak.<\/p>\n
