\nWinter has officially begun in Moscow, but we still have a hot polar summer and another stage of the Scandinavian journey. Just a couple of minutes ago, we left the mainland and went on a 3-hour ferry ride to a wonderful place - the Lofoten and Vester\u00e5len Islands.<\/p>\n

Behind us lies a city with the wonderful name of Bod\u00f8. <\/p>\n

<\/p>\n


<\/p>\n

There is nothing special about it, except for the name. More precisely, it will be not so... there is nothing supernatural for a Norwegian town in it - cleanliness, beauty, tidiness and a port...<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n


<\/p>\n

Oh, yes... and of course, the airport. But here, even the smallest towns have airports. And not just nominally, but with regular domestic flights, and even international ones - Finland and Sweden. <\/p>\n

<\/p>\n


<\/p>\n

The big land becomes smaller and smaller with every foot.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n


<\/p>\n

But the giant Westfjord hospitably welcomes us into its gentle embrace, gently rocking us on the waves and tickling our skin with a salty breeze.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n


<\/p>\n

Mountain walls and lighthouses float by on the left and right.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n


<\/p>\n

\u2026and frozen prehistoric creatures \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n


<\/p>\n

The shore smoothly disappears into the haze, revealing more and more new outlines, already covered with haze.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n


<\/p>\n

At some point, not a single shore is visible. It feels like we are in the open ocean\u2026for about 40-60 minutes. A great opportunity to watch people.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n


<\/p>\n

This couple looked the busiest, completely immersed in their Lonely Planet guidebook.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n


<\/p>\n

Someone was taking pictures tirelessly...<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n


<\/p>\n

Someone was bored and lazing around in the sun )))<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n


<\/p>\n

But this couple, when the man finally calmed down clicking the shutter of his Canon and sat down next to his wife, touched me beyond belief. Such close Europeans, and so far away, as if from another planet(((how many of our elderly people can afford to travel like that?<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n


<\/p>\n

Ships start sailing past. For example, this one belongs to the shipping company Torghatten Nord, named after the mountain with the hole :) Remember what I told you about earlier?<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n


<\/p>\n

And this one looks like a fishing boat...there must be land nearby )))<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n


<\/p>\n

Zeeeeeaa ...<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n


<\/p>\n

Lofoten Islands.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n


<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n


<\/p>\n

People start to fuss, discussing something \u201cobviously adventurous\u201d :)<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n


<\/p>\n

Well, that's it for now. In the next post we'll go ashore and see some of the Lofoten landscapes. Wow...yeah!<\/p>\n
