The village is located at an altitude of 1930 meters in the Ötztal Alps. Its population is only 400, but it welcomes thousands of tourists every year. We noticed that this resort is very popular with Germans and Dutch tourists.

The Festkoglbahn cable car is located at the very entrance to Obergurgl. There's also a huge parking lot there, essentially the only one here. The rest are owned by hotels and shops.

A six-person gondola takes you to an altitude of 2,650 meters. And considering there's less of a rush here than in Sölden on the Giggijoch massif, skiing is a pleasure.

At the summit is the Quattro Festkoglbahn restaurant, which opened in December 2013 in collaboration with Audi.
