A metro station near Moscow's Vnukovo Airport could open within the next three to four years, Interfax reports, citing a statement from Andrey Bocharov, head of the city's construction department.<\/p>\n

It will stretch to Vnukovo Kalininsko-Solntsevskaya metro line. According to A. Bocharov, design work for the section is currently underway. Two stations are needed to reach the airport, extending from the currently under-construction Rasskazovka station. The final stop may be built above ground rather than underground, allowing it to be integrated into the airport's existing infrastructure.          <\/p>\n

Earlier, Moscow Deputy Mayor for Urban Development and Construction Marat Khusnullin announced that the Kalininsko-Solntsevskaya metro line would be extended from Ramenki station to Rasskazovka station. Seven stations are being built between them. The line will then be extended to Vnukovo Airport.<\/p>\n
