On December 28, the Igloo Hotel will open in Sochi's mountain cluster\u2014several Eskimo-style houses built from the pure snow of the Caucasus Mountains. The igloos will be up to six meters in diameter, and the interiors will be insulated with animal skins.<\/p>\n

According to TASS, one of the igloos will house a bar. The hotel's rooms will be kept warm at outside temperatures down to -20 degrees Celsius. The igloos will accommodate between two and eight guests.<\/p>\n

The Igloo Hotel will be part of an ethnopark within the Gazprom resort area in Krasnaya Polyana. Park guests can enjoy snowshoe and cross-country skiing in the Caucasus Biosphere Reserve, as well as skiing and snowboarding on the pristine snow on the nearby mountain slopes. The ethnopark will also feature a chum (tent)\u2014a dwelling of indigenous northern peoples\u2014a children's snow town, and Father Frost's snow house.<\/p>\n
