The Museo Fallero in Valencia, dedicated to historical festival dolls (ninots), will undergo a restoration of its exhibits, during which time visitors will not be charged an entrance fee. In addition to work to protect the unique giant dolls from moisture, the museum will undergo some technical improvements, as well as a renovation of the fa\u00e7ade.<\/p>\n

As reported by Spain in Russian, the work will continue until January 30, and the museum will not close during this time.<\/p>\n

The Museo Fallero is very popular with tourists visiting Valencia. The ninots dolls, up to two meters high, are an integral part of the colorful Valencian Fallas festival. They are made of wood, cork and papier-m\u00e2ch\u00e9 throughout the year. They are usually grotesque images of celebrities or characters from books and films. The Museo Fallero houses the best examples of these dolls, while the rest are ceremoniously burned. The museum's collection has been collected since 1934.<\/p>\n
