Tourists may be punished for bringing any tobacco products and electronic cigarettes into Qatar, the Federal Agency for Tourism (Rostourism) informs Russians, citing the Qatari embassy in the Russian Federation.<\/p>\n

Hookah was also banned. Rostourism has called on tour operators sending their clients to Qatar to warn them of legal liability for importing and storing prohibited goods and products.<\/p>\n

Qatar is not the most popular tourist destination among Russians, however, the country does everything possible to attract guests from Russia. Russian citizens can visit Qatar without a visa. As a traditional entertainment for tourists, jeep safaris in the desert with a visit to Bedouin camps in the areas of Al-Ruwais, Dukhan, Umm Said and Al-Zubarah are offered. In the cool season, camel racing (a true passion of the locals) and falconry are regularly held.<\/p>\n
