\nNot far from Orl\u00edk Castle is another castle, Zv\u00edkov (Hrad Zv\u00edkov). Both are located on the riverbank, so there's a boat route between them. The distance by boat is about 12 kilometers, and the trip takes about 40 minutes by boat.<\/p>\n

Summer, weekends - the shores are full of vacationers.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The Vltava is quite winding in this area.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n


<\/p>\n

Around the first bend lies the Zhdakovsky Bridge, named after the village flooded by the reservoir. The bridge is 50 meters high and 540 meters long. Situated on the Pilsen-Tabor highway, it was built in the early 1960s, simultaneously with the Orlik Dam.<\/p>\n

Water traffic is quite active, and we can see both main types of transport here: a sailing yacht and something like a floating summer house.<\/p>\n

We pass under the bridge.<\/p>\n

Where the banks allow access to the water, there are houses behind the trees.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n


<\/p>\n

And where there are no houses, floating dachas are parked.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n


<\/p>\n

The coastal houses have their own piers.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n


<\/p>\n

Looking back. Even though we've already passed a couple of turns, the bridge is still visible.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

And again, coastal houses.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n


<\/p>\n

And further on, less populated areas begin.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The banks are getting higher and higher.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n


<\/p>\n

And even higher. The red spot in the center of the frame is a person. The yellow one isn't a tree, but a red one (slightly to the right).<\/p>\n

If the banks here are so high now, then I wonder what they were like before the flooding.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

There is a parking lot in a small bay.<\/p>\n
