From the Lower Reshetki to the Trinity Bridge."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\nWe arrived here, at the Lower Reshetki, along the Velikaya Embankment from the Olginsky Bridge. Since the Pskova River flows into the Velikaya River here, passing through a passage in the wall, we reached the Pskova Embankment, and from there we&#039;ll reach the Troitsky Bridge.<\/p>\n<p><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/e2c903a86cfb412cf24d318cedbcdc1b.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><br clear=\"all\"\/><\/p>\n<p><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/9c081b512ac537ef7dc54b67079f4510.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><br clear=\"all\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Compared to April, there&#039;s more greenery here, and a bench has been installed near the Lower Reshetki. For a touch of romance, I suppose...<\/p>\n<p><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/edcff88275ed7f8fbb07553514323d9e.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><br clear=\"all\"\/><\/p>\n<p><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/7befaeab77fe2bd6d7d867dc941942d4.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><br clear=\"all\"\/><\/p>\n<p>The High (Voskresenskaya) Tower is the second tower of the Lower Lattice<\/p>\n<p><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/00366e88365781b797a049f4bade979f.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><br clear=\"all\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Both of these towers\u2014Ploskaya and Voskresenskaya\u2014were built in 1500 to protect the entrance to the Pskova River. Later, a wooden wall, then a stone one, with a water gate was built between them. This structure became known as the Lower Lattice. By the early 20th century, both towers were practically destroyed. Its name is believed to derive from its location in the middle of the eastern fortress wall, between the Kutekroma and Troitskaya towers.<\/p>\n<p><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/c9295c6c5cd9564b5eb8fa2600cad31d.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><br clear=\"all\"\/><\/p>\n<p>The bell tower was built on the site of an ancient tower &quot;on Radchin Vskhod.&quot; Square in plan, it has multiple floors, topped with tiered spans of bells, a decorative tier of tower clocks, and a spire with a cross.
