{"id":43014,"date":"2018-04-24T20:01:12","date_gmt":"2018-04-24T17:01:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev.prestigtours.com\/novosti\/v-tailande-massovo-zakryvaut-dostoprimechatelnosti.html"},"modified":"2018-04-24T20:01:12","modified_gmt":"2018-04-24T17:01:12","slug":"v-tailande-massovo-zakryvaut-dostoprimechatelnosti","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dev.prestigtours.com\/en\/novosti\/v-tailande-massovo-zakryvaut-dostoprimechatelnosti","title":{"rendered":"Tourist attractions are being closed en masse in Thailand."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n<strong>Thailand&#039;s national park system begins annual seasonal closures<!--more--><\/strong><strong>, reports the Tourism Authority of Thailand.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/43afcb8280c8ffa817c58abb11eb27d9.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>\nThe Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Conservation (DNP) has begun its annual seasonal closures at 66 of the 147 national parks across the country.<\/p>\n<p>\nAccording to the DNP, this is a common practice: every year, for a certain period, depending on the weather and park conditions, the agency closes several of the country&#039;s attractions to tourists.<\/p>\n<p>\nDates vary, and closures are often due to repairs, restoration, or extreme weather, particularly during the rainy months, which can create unsafe conditions for excursions.<\/p>\n<p><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/84b16b148adcfac24e7fdafc5c12d019.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>\nAccording to the DNP, Thailand currently has 147 national parks covering 70,038.65 square kilometers, or 13,641 TP3T of the country&#039;s land area.
