{"id":43115,"date":"2018-04-26T12:01:03","date_gmt":"2018-04-26T09:01:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev.prestigtours.com\/novosti\/britanskie-tyristy-aktivno-vozvrashautsia-v-tynis-egipet-i-tyrciu.html"},"modified":"2018-04-26T12:01:03","modified_gmt":"2018-04-26T09:01:03","slug":"britanskie-tyristy-aktivno-vozvrashautsia-v-tynis-egipet-i-tyrciu","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dev.prestigtours.com\/en\/novosti\/britanskie-tyristy-aktivno-vozvrashautsia-v-tynis-egipet-i-tyrciu","title":{"rendered":"British tourists are returning to Tunisia, Egypt and Turkey in droves"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n<strong>Tunisia is back on the British tourist map just months after the Foreign Office lifted a travel ban on the North African country, reports <\/strong><strong>The<\/strong> <strong>Telegraph<\/strong><strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/8110fc16e186d8f748ce5574665e143a.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>\nThomas Cook, one of the largest tour operators <!--more-->Britain resumed its tours to the country in February, three years after the terrorist attack that killed 38 people, including 30 Britons, shocked the world.<\/p>\n<p>\n<strong>Search flights to Tunisia online<\/strong>, according to the company, increased by 790 percent in the day after the first flights resumed.<\/p>\n<p>\nEgypt and T\u00fcrkiye also suffered from a decline in tourist numbers, but are now seeing a surge in tourism thanks to safety concerns.<\/p>\n<p>\n<strong>Thomas Cook Turkey Bookings<\/strong> increased by 84% year-on-year, making the European country the third most popular destination among the company&#039;s customers for summer 2018, along with Spain and Greece.<\/p>\n<p>\n\u201cIn fact, T\u00fcrkiye still has more orders than mainland Spain and the Canary Islands combined,\u201d <strong>\u00a0\u2014 the company\u2019s report says.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\n\u201cThis summer, we are seeing a return of our tourists to their favorite destinations, which have been out of reach in recent years,\u201d <strong>said Peter Farkhauser, CEO of Thomas Cook.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\n&quot;Orders to Turkey and Egypt have grown strongly in the past year, and Tunisia, which has only recently opened up to the British, is now selling well,&quot; he added.<\/p>\n<p>\n<strong>As for Egypt<\/strong>According to the tour operator, its potential in this country has almost reached the 2015 level.<\/p>\n<p>\n&quot;Hotel bookings on the Red Sea are now close to 2015 levels,&quot; states the tour operator&#039;s annual report.
