Starting July 1, tourists arriving in Vilnius will pay a tourist tax of \u20ac1 per person for each night spent in a hotel, hostel, or apartment. The funds raised will be used to improve the Lithuanian capital's tourism infrastructure.<\/p>\n

According to the Vilnius Tourism Organization, those arriving for medical treatment, children under 18, disabled persons, tourists renting accommodation for a month or more, as well as groups of tourists booking 10 or more rooms at a time are exempt from paying the tourist tax.<\/p>\n

The tax will be paid upon check-in at the hotel.<\/p>\n
