Solo travelers are increasingly booking hotels in advance, according to Travel Daily Media.<\/p>\n

According to online travel portal Travelzoo, the image of the solo traveler, ready to launch into a new adventure at any moment, may be fading away. Despite the growing number of solo travelers, they are increasingly seeking to protect themselves from any risks. A new Travelzoo study found that 72% of solo travelers book hotels well in advance. Moreover, 62% of these travelers prefer major brand hotels over "hut paradises" for safety reasons.<\/p>\n

According to Travelzoo General Manager Joel Brandon-Bravo, it's encouraging to see more and more people wanting to explore the world alone. This is despite the fact that they view any risk as a challenge. Recent research shows that the reliability of early booking and choosing major hotel brands gives solo travelers confidence in enjoying the freedom and flexibility of solo travel, the expert noted.<\/p>\n

According to Travelzoo, despite the popularity of large hotel chains, cost remains a determining factor for independent travelers. For a third of travelers, high single room rates are the biggest deterrent to booking a trip. Experts note that special rates for solo travelers could be an excellent way to encourage people to pack their bags again and again.  <\/p>\n
