A new multimedia show, Sangue e Arena (Cro), is being launched within the walls of Rome's main landmark."The Arena"), which tells the story of the very first gladiator fight. This was reported by The Bobr Times.<\/p>\n

Italians have used modern technology to create a multimedia show about the gladiatorial games that took place in 80 BC to celebrate the completion of the Colosseum. Special lighting, holograms, and enhanced visual and sound effects projected onto a 17-meter-long canvas help bring to life the thrilling and often bloody games that were a favorite of the Roman Emperor Titus. Gladiator combat, animal fights, and naval battles on a submerged stage\u2014all of this unfolded in the Colosseum nearly two thousand years ago and will now be reimagined in a modern spectacle.<\/p>\n

According to Alfonsino Russo, director of the Rome Archaeological Park, the Colosseum arena will once again fulfill its original role as a venue for entertainment and performances. The show will allow spectators to experience the emotions of ancient Romans. A virtual auditorium with 170 seats is located at the bottom of the amphitheater, where senators and high-ranking members of Roman society once sat, says Russo.<\/p>\n

The show runs every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday until October 27, 2018. Three 30-minute performances are scheduled daily, each in Italian and English. Showtimes are at 9:30 PM, 10:30 PM, and 11:30 PM. Children under 6 are not admitted. Tickets cost \u20ac25. <\/p>\n
