The country, which recently reported rapid growth in visitors, is seeking to position itself as a luxury destination targeting wealthy tourists, reports <\/strong><strong>H<\/strong><strong>hotel <\/strong><strong>M<\/strong><strong>anagement.<!--more--><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/84e9e3a6cac6f92fffe0ca96885f87ea.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>\nThe hotel will operate under the Meli\u0430 Hotels &amp; Resorts brand and will be located in the municipality of Budva, an ancient city on the Adriatic founded by the Greeks in the 5th century.<\/p>\n<p>\n\u201cFor Meli\u0430, opening this hotel is a natural step in our development in markets where our brands have great potential,\u201d he said.<strong> Gabriel Escarrer, EVP &amp; CEO of Meli\u0430 Hotels International. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\nMontenegro reported a 19 percent increase in tourist arrivals in 2017, according to the European Travel Commission. According to a PwC report published earlier, the country not only increased its tourist flow, but also proved its success in overcoming seasonality.<\/p>\n<p><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/b92124c50eeed0a1b2ecfc8d47e99a77.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>\nAccording to the World Travel and Tourism Council, Montenegro&#039;s tourism revenues last year amounted to 846.4 million euros, or about 22 percent of the country&#039;s gross domestic product.
