In just the first seven months of 2018, more than 890,000 Russians visited Georgia, according to Tourprom.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/185db5c3d8e2e928ad1af37d3d546066.JPG\" \/><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>\nThus, in July the number of tourists from Russia increased by 12.8% compared to July of last year. <!--more-->The Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that Russian tourists reached 247,200 people. This marked a 12-year high for Russian tourists, taking first place. In terms of overall tourist flow, Russia shares first place with Azerbaijan, with an increase of 22.91% (3.5%).<\/p>\n<p>\nHowever, tourists note that there are also problems, primarily for those traveling on their own. First and foremost, there&#039;s a huge queue at the Verkhniy Laz border crossing, caused entirely by Russian customs.
