\nThe Dzhily-Su tract is located in Kabardino-Balkaria on the northern slopes of the gray giant Elbrus, at an altitude of 2380 m. The place is famous for its mineral waters. Dzhily-Su means "warm water" in translation. It is here that more than ten mineral springs, unique in their composition, gushes from under the ground, capable of curing various diseases and improving the general condition of the body.<\/p>\n

Many families come to Dzhily-Su every year. The peak season is considered to be August-September, when the Silver Spring begins to flow.
\nIn August I was lucky enough to visit this wonderful place. When planning my vacation, I wanted to visit Dzhily-Su not as part of a one-day excursion, but for at least a few days. I decided to go on my own with a tent. To be honest, I was a little afraid, because I went on vacation alone with my 7-year-old son. For the first time, all the worries of "field" life fell entirely on my shoulders, and I would have to cope with any force majeure situation myself.<\/p>\n

Using the services of a "private transfer", we went from Kislovodsk to Dzhily-Su. I had heard that the road in that direction was good, but I did not think that it was so good. Of course, the Government of Kabardino-Balkaria tried, but what will easy accessibility lead to, what will the "people's resort" turn into in a few years?<\/p>\n

The weather was clear. I saw Elbrus for the first time! Words cannot describe it.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The road took 3 hours. Upon arrival we registered and pitched a tent.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The weather in the mountains changes suddenly and dramatically. In a few minutes, impenetrable leaden clouds flew in and a thunderstorm began. Fortunately, there are no windows in my tent, so I did not see lightning. It was already scary. All my thoughts were about whether the tent would withstand such a stream from the sky.<\/p>\n

There was nothing left to do but go to bed. A couple of hours later the weather cleared up again, and we could go on reconnaissance.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Although Dzhily-Su is surrounded by mountains, the giant Elbrus is visible here.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n


<\/p>\n

Another snowy peak is visible - Balyksubashi (I may be wrong in the name, correct me if so). <\/p>\n

<\/p>\n


<\/p>\n

There is a cafe, a small shop and a first aid station.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n


<\/p>\n

In August, a lot of people come to the springs. It is interesting to see how the tract looks out of season.<\/p>\n

People go to the springs several times a day.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n


<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n


<\/p>\n

There are several sources, differing from each other in composition and healing properties. There are liver, kidney, gastric, and eye sources.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n


<\/p>\n

Dzhily-Su is also famous for its waterfalls. Sultan Waterfall.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n


<\/p>\n

And also beautiful gorges.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n


<\/p>\n

Several years ago a mudflow occurred in the Malki gorge.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n


<\/p>\n

In the tract, on the edge of the cliff, a snow-white mansion rises. They say that this is the house of the President of Kabardino-Balkaria. Perhaps, it is just a hotel.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n


<\/p>\n

Mostly, people live in their own makeshift temporary dwellings.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n


<\/p>\n

Where there are people, there are their four-legged helpers.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n


<\/p>\n

Cows love to walk in river valleys.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n


<\/p>\n

Goats - jumping on mountain slopes.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n


<\/p>\n

Local inhabitants have also adapted well to living alongside humans.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n


<\/p>\n

There is enough space for everyone. The main thing is to preserve the beauty and pristine nature of the mysterious and so attractive Dzhily-Su.<\/p>\n
