{"id":54613,"date":"2018-08-25T23:01:08","date_gmt":"2018-08-25T20:01:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev.prestigtours.com\/novosti\/kipr-bet-rekordy-po-tyrpotoky.html"},"modified":"2018-08-25T23:01:08","modified_gmt":"2018-08-25T20:01:08","slug":"kipr-bet-rekordy-po-tyrpotoky","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dev.prestigtours.com\/en\/novosti\/kipr-bet-rekordy-po-tyrpotoky","title":{"rendered":"Cyprus Breaks Records for Tourist Flow"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n<strong>According to the Cyprus Statistical Authority<\/strong> (<strong>CYSTAT<\/strong>)<strong>, the number of tourist arrivals in July 2018 amounted to 539,626 people, compared to 531,030 in July 2017, an increase of 1.6%, RES-MEA reports.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/38616a908a1b982497f6059d9da67631.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>\nThe tourist flow in July 2018 was the highest in Cyprus for several years.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>\nFor the period from January to July 2018, the tourist flow to the country amounted to 2,184,775 people, compared to 1,994,236 in the corresponding period of 2017, an increase of\u00a0<strong>9,6%<\/strong> and exceeding previous records.<\/p>\n<p>\nThe most active growth in tourist flow was shown by <strong>Sweden<\/strong>\u00a0- In July it increased by 15% compared to July 2017, Lebanon showed an increase of 15.9%.<\/p>\n<p><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/f764426563028cfca2149d80822bb6ae.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>\nMeanwhile, several markets have fallen compared to last year, including Russia - by 5.9%. Tourist flows from the UK have also decreased - by 1.1%, Israel - by 22.2% and Germany - by 14.5%.<\/p>\n<p>\nThis is largely due, experts believe, to the recovery of Turkey and the partial recovery of Egypt this summer season.<\/p>\n<p>\nHowever, the United Kingdom remains the main source of inbound tourism for Cyprus.
