The main archaeological work is taking place on the main street, decorated <!--more-->columns. Experts from around the world are working on the site.<\/p>\n<p><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/e0cdbcc1f9678294ce55613c0cf872d6.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>\nDuring the time of the ancient Soli civilization, Pompeipolis was considered a major port city and held strategic importance.
