It is home to the Yaroslavl Bell Factory, where bells have been cast for many years using ancient techniques. <\/p>\n<p><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/312bae7183a8d46fb6f7f375bb09b45c.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><br clear=\"all\"\/><\/p>\n<p>The production is small, and everything is mainly made to order for bell towers throughout Russia and for parishes in other countries around the world. <\/p>\n<p><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/3ad4efd4b7dc6527826bf6644f2b241d.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><br clear=\"all\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Sometimes you can take a tour of this plant.<\/p>\n<p><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/395904be62fb2dd052a10703f5a26586.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><br clear=\"all\"\/><\/p>\n<p>These unassuming meshes help create the mold for the casting. First, the rebar structure is reinforced with bricks on the inside, and then several layers of clay are applied. <\/p>\n<p><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/c92e1c89ddc37c70eda98a4a487679a7.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><br clear=\"all\"\/><\/p>\n<p>The template is rotated in a circle and a \u201cdummy\u201d is obtained \u2013 the first layer of the form, the inside of the bell. <\/p>\n<p><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/a9ac363d3733c90878914aa1deb00818.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><br clear=\"all\"\/><\/p>\n<p>This part is processed, and clay is applied on top to create a false bell - a prototype, a clay copy of the future bell. <\/p>\n<p><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/a05bca31496391c1dafd63bf4a6b78a2.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><br clear=\"all\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Wax models of decoration are attached to it.<\/p>\n<p><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/ba7fe799d785357f630f064918ef3e1e.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><br clear=\"all\"\/><\/p>\n<p>These models are made in a separate workshop. First, prototypes are molded from plasticine, then polymer molds are made from these.<\/p>\n<p>Silicone molds are filled with wax. The resulting fragile wax decorations are then secured to a clay model.<\/p>\n<p><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/b8eabb4c5485ced8a10b0e51aa81b4c0.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><br clear=\"all\"\/><\/p>\n<p>The finished false bell with decorations is filled with the third part of the mold - the \u201cshirt\u201d, and secured with reinforcement. <\/p>\n<p><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/a16c3ed5d65fbb581bc4170503d6c5a1.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><br clear=\"all\"\/><\/p>\n<p>When the shirt is dry, the prototype is removed and a mold is formed for casting.<\/p>\n<p><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/df9057427e9a757b03d53eca20891a7b.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><br clear=\"all\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Next, we move on to the smelting shop. Bronze alloy is made from 80 percent tin and 20 percent copper. <\/p>\n<p><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/3b5f596fd56fd600b15719918555354b.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><br clear=\"all\"\/><\/p>\n<p>If you slightly violate the technology or change the temperature, the bell will either become fragile or have a bad sound. <\/p>\n<p><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/882e3a850f01a345e115388a37e9a5d3.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><br clear=\"all\"\/><\/p>\n<p>The mold for small bells is filled with molten metal by hand, while the molds for larger ones are poured from an overhead ladle.<\/p>\n<p><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/7535dfa5cdf340267a17cd97b778feca.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><br clear=\"all\"\/><\/p>\n<p>After a few hours, the metal hardens, the clay mold is broken\u2014the bell is almost ready.
