\nThe fall of the ruble in 2019 may lead to a decrease in outbound tourist flow from Russia. In turn, inbound and domestic segments, on the contrary, will show growth. This was stated at a press conference within the framework of the IV regional tourism forum in Kazan by the executive Director of the tour operator "Intourist" Sergei Tolchin.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nAccording to the expert, the pace of early bookings on incoming routes is currently lower than last year. \u201cIn 2018, demand for trips to Russia was higher due to the World Cup,\u201d Mr. Tolchin explained, noting that this year the tour operator expects to accept 3\u20134% more foreigners.<\/p>\n

\nSpeaking about domestic destinations, the executive director of the tour operator Intourist reported an increase in sales by 8\u201314%. \u201cAt the same time, the average cost of a trip has grown by 2\u20133% \u2014 tourists are starting to raise the level of their vacation,\u201d S. Tolchin specified.<\/p>\n

\nIn its turn, the situation is the opposite in foreign destinations - the average duration of tours is decreasing, "2018 was not easy for outbound tourism, and for all tour operators. Nevertheless, we do not plan to reduce our volumes this year," concluded Sergey Tolchin.<\/p>\n

\nLet us recall that on February 4, 2019, a large-scale exhibition project of the tour operator Intourist, the IV Regional Tourism Forum, was launched. In 2019, it will be held in eight Russian cities and will become the main platform for meetings and joint work of the tourism business in each city where it is held.<\/p>\n
