Oman announced the completion of testing its electronic visa system for Russian citizens and the permanent implementation of this system. Visas can be obtained on the Oman Police website at evisa.rop.gov.om, according to Travel.ru.<\/p>\n

The process takes anywhere from a few hours to several days, so it's best to apply for a visa at least a week before your planned trip. The visa is valid for one month from the date of issue. To apply, register on the website, then enter your information in the "Apply for Visa" section and upload documents. This includes a round-trip ticket, hotel reservations, a scanned copy of your passport (valid for at least six months prior to your trip), and a photo. Uploaded files should be no larger than 512 kilobytes. <\/p>\n

A single-entry 10-day visa costs 5 OMR ($13), while a 30-day visa costs 20 OMR ($52). A multiple-entry one-year visa costs 50 OMR ($130). The visa received by email must be printed and presented at passport control. <\/p>\n

Tourist traffic to Oman from Russia increased by 1,201,000 in 2018, reaching 20,000 people, and continues to grow. This increase was achieved thanks to the simplification of the visa regime for Russian citizens\u2014visas can now be obtained both upon arrival and in advance online\u2014as well as the launch of daily Oman Air flights to Moscow last fall.
