American airline Delta is testing free Wi-Fi access on select flights. In May, the tests are being conducted daily on several dozen flights, with the list changing daily, according to Travel.ru.<\/p>\n

Therefore, the chances of getting on a test flight are slim\u2014less than 1%. Passengers on such flights are notified in advance via email. Testing takes place on both domestic and international flights.<\/p>\n

Delta stated that several test phases will be required before a final decision is made on the timing and format of introducing complimentary access. Feedback from passengers on test flights will be taken into account. <\/p>\n

Currently, the company offers free messaging on all flights, but does not allow the sharing of images and videos. According to surveys, only 20% passengers are willing to pay any amount for in-flight online access, and only primarily on long-haul flights.<\/p>\n
