For comparison, experts selected three four-week periods: May 6 to June 2, June 3 to June 30, and July 1 to July 28, 2019.<\/p>\n<p>\nAs the company&#039;s press service told TRN, the influx of international travelers is particularly high during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (June 6-8, 2019) and the famous Scarlet Sails graduate festival (June 23-24, 2019). Thus, the volume of air ticket bookings during the week of the SPIEF increases by\u00a0<strong>21%<\/strong>, and during the week of Scarlet Sails, compared to the next one,\u00a0<strong>16%<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>\n<strong>Dmitry Khavanskiy, Development Manager <\/strong><strong>Skyscanner<\/strong><strong> in Russia:<\/strong> &quot;St. Petersburg is not only one of the most popular domestic tourism destinations but also a magnet for international travelers: 291,333 more international tourists than Russians will fly to the city on the Neva for the White Nights this year. The growing flow of international visitors is fueled by a diverse cultural program, the beauty of the northernmost capital, and, of course, St. Petersburg&#039;s growing reputation abroad thanks to global events such as the Confederations Cup, the FIFA World Cup, and the annual St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.<\/p>\n<p>\nFor Moscow residents, airfare to St. Petersburg is comparable to train fares. However, regardless of the mode of transport, prices will be higher on Fridays and weekends due to increased demand.
