The announcement was published on the company&#039;s official website on September 23.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\n\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/8553237765ddc6c480563f826baa2bdd.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\nAccording to the company, there are currently more than 600 thousand of them abroad. <!--more-->clients, including 160,000 British citizens. Their return will be handled by the UK government, at a cost of approximately \u20ac1,400,000.<\/p>\n<p>\nAs a reminder, the tour operator&#039;s financial difficulties began about a year ago. To save the company, Thomas Cook&#039;s management agreed to a \u00a3950 million recapitalization with the Chinese holding company Fosun, which would have resulted in the investor owning 75% of Thomas Cook&#039;s shares and 25% of its airline.
