Following the results, the contestants received feedback and expert assessment.

"In this semi-final, 9 men and 11 women won, the youngest are 25 years old, there are two of them, the most experienced (and there are also two of them) are 56. The winners represent 11 regions of Russia. As in Sochi, almost all participants speak at least one foreign language," said the head of the "Masters of Hospitality" competition. Evgeny Malygin.

"The semi-final of the Masters of Hospitality competition in Tula brought together real professionals from 23 regions of Russia. For two days, they solved cases, discussed projects, played sports and completed educational programs as one friendly team of masters. On the final day, leading experts in the hospitality industry evaluated the projects of our participants. It is important that these projects were of various scales and areas of the hospitality industry: from a tour of a small gingerbread factory to a global digital platform for organizing children's recreation throughout Russia, from a rope park in the Oryol region to a large-scale literary competition that allows hundreds of thousands of readers to tell about the regions of Russia. The most important thing is that the defense of the projects grew into a constructive discussion, and some of the experts interested in the projects made proposals for their joint implementation and cooperation right in the hall," said the head of the direction for interaction with partners of the ANO "Russia - Land of Opportunities" Anton Serikov.

The semi-final of the competition included meetings and master classes with invited industry experts. Traveler, host of the television project "Let's go, let's eat!" John Warren shared his observations about the multifaceted Russian cuisine and discussed with the participants the infrastructure problems that are holding back the development of tourism in our country. Ekaterina Shapovalova, author-methodologist and coordinator of the federal project "Gastronomic Map of Russia", told the contestants how to create and develop a project in the field of gastronomic tourism.

"Based on the results of the semi-final in Tula, it became clear that the "Masters of Hospitality" competition is not only an opportunity to receive support from mentors, win internships or receive financial assistance for the implementation of projects, but first and foremost, it is a platform for communication and finding partners. For example, today, during the defense of projects, several participants agreed to create a single intercity route that will attract more tourists. It is for such unification that the competition was created. Government support or large financial injections are not always necessary for implementation; sometimes it is a search for like-minded people and best practices," said the vice-president of the National Union of the Hospitality Industry Alexey Volkov.

At the closing ceremony, the Chairperson of the Tula Region Committee for Tourism Development also addressed the semi-finalists Larisa Solomatina: "I hope that these days in Tula were memorable for you, and in addition to the mastery that you received in your competencies, you also received a lot of pleasant emotions and impressions from our hospitality, from our Kremlin. I hope that you will all have a desire to come back to us."

"Guys, you are all winners, it was hard to choose who will go on stage now. It was really cool!", - the traveler, host of the television project "Let's go, let's eat!" congratulated all the participants of the semi-final. John Warren.

The regional semi-finals of the "Masters of Hospitality" competition were held in Sochi and Tula in February. In March, in-person competitions will be held in 7 more Russian cities: Pyatigorsk, Samara, Yalta, Ufa, Salekhard, Kaliningrad and Irkutsk. The best participants will compete in the final for the title of "Masters of Hospitality".

The winners of the competition will be mentored by famous restaurateurs, hoteliers and hospitality managers, will be able to win an educational certificate, receive an invitation to internships and work in leading tourism companies and organizations, and win a grant to implement their projects.

The competition is being implemented within the framework of the federal project “Social Lifts for Everyone” of the national project “Education”.

Additional information on the official website of the competition: https://welcomecup.ru/

<p
