From today, St. Peter's Square and Basilica in the Vatican are closed to tourists. The state authorities have taken such measures due to the danger of the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus infection.<\/p>\n

According to the press service of the Holy See, the ban applies to both organized excursions and individual tourists. The expected date for lifting the ban is April 3, 2020.<\/p>\n
