On November 23–24, 2017, Sochi will host the SIFT International Tourism Forum, which has become one of the most important business platforms for domestic and inbound tourism in Russia. The venue, traditionally, will be the Main Media Center in the Imeretinskaya Lowland.
Organizers Forum — Federal Tourism Agency, Krasnodar Krai Administration, Sochi City Administration. The forum is being held with the support of the Russian Ministry of Culture, the Russian Union of Travel Industry, the Association of Tour Operators of Russia, the Krasnodar Krai Administration, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Krasnodar Krai, the Sochi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Ministry of Resorts, Tourism, and Olympic Heritage of Krasnodar Krai.
The Forum will include the 24th International Tourism Exhibition "Resorts and Tourism. Season 2017-2018," the 18th International Specialized Exhibition "Hotel and Restaurant Business 2017," the Congress "Key Strategic Development Directions, Technologies, and Services in Domestic and Inbound Tourism," and educational tours of Sochi's resort and business facilities.
The forum will serve as an effective discussion platform for tourism and HoReCa industry professionals, bringing together leading hospitality companies from across Russia, as well as medical and diagnostic centers, transportation, insurance, and service companies, tour operators, and travel agents.
The business program will include discussion and business meetings, educational seminars, presentations, and face-to-face meetings with Administration representatives. During the forum, participants will review the 2017 resort season, discuss the development of gastronomic tourism, legislative changes regulating hotel operations, new approaches to spa treatment, and hospitality services. They will also discuss attracting tourists during the 2018 FIFA World Cup, the resort fee collection mechanism, and the development of resorts in the Krasnodar Territory, as well as personnel training for the tourism industry, the specifics of using online cash registers, and much more.
The "Resorts and Tourism. Season 2017–2018" exhibition is a meeting place for our country's accommodation providers with interested specialists and potential partners who want to see the highlights of the Russian tourism industry, conduct targeted negotiations, learn about the successful experiences of other regions, conduct consultations, and establish business contacts.
