Europe on strike: where and when disruptions are expected

On Thursday and Friday, December 7 and 8, airline strikes are planned at airports in Italy and the Netherlands, the Russian Foreign Ministry's Situation and Crisis Center reported.

The Russian Foreign Ministry's Situation and Crisis Center warns Russians about planned strikes at European airports and possible disruptions in the schedule.

Thus, on Thursday, December 7, at 00:01 local time, a 24-hour strike by Alitalia personnel will begin. The flight schedule may be adjusted at all airports in the country. The carrier has planned another protest action in December. It will take place on December 15.  

On Friday, December 8, KLM flight attendants will go on a 24-hour strike at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol.

In addition, 8-hour strikes by the staff of the Italo and Trenitalia railway companies are planned for December 17. According to the Foreign Ministry, delays in the train schedule from 9:00 to 17:00 are not ruled out.

Next on the strike calendar is Spain. There, security workers at Madrid's Barajas airport are unhappy with their working conditions. They will not go to work from December 22, 2017 to January 8, 2018.
