Tunisia expects to welcome 800,000 tourists from Russia in 2018, Tunisian Tourism Minister Salma El Loumi El Raqiq announced at a press conference in Moscow.
According to her, at the beginning of the year there is a positive trend, and many markets are showing growth in tourist flow, including Russian.
"We're paying close attention to developing the Russian market. We're striving to increase the number of Russian-speaking guides, developing special programs, conducting study tours, and offering incentives to the tourism industry," she noted.
The minister also added that the country has done a great deal to improve security at airports, hotels, beaches and other public places.
It should be noted that in 2016, Tunisia received 600 thousand tourists from Russia, but in 2017 there was a slight decrease in tourist flow.
