In 2020, Tunisia expects to receive more than 1 million Russian tourists. This was stated by Rene Trabelsi, the Minister of Tourism of the Republic, at a press conference.
“In 2018, 630 thousand Russian tourists vacationed in Tunisia, this year we expect 750 thousand. And already in 2020 “This year we expect that the Russian market will take first place in terms of volume among all foreign markets and will amount to more than 1 million people,” he said.
In addition, Rene Trabelsi noted that travelers from Russia are increasingly choosing Tunisia not only as a beach destination: tourists play golf, go shopping, and go on excursions.
“I would also like to emphasize that some Russian tour operators work in the Tunisia direction all year round,” the minister added.
Let us recall that earlier tour operators reported that this year the demand for Tunisia under the “early booking” promotion has increased threefold.
