
Early this summer, a cable car will open in Moscow, connecting Vorobyovy Gory and Luzhniki Stadium. The cable car is expected to open in time for the FIFA World Cup.
According to Interfax, the steel cables for the cable car are now fully tensioned, and installation of passenger cabins will begin soon.
The cable car will be 737 meters long. The upper station will be located on Kosygina Street, the intermediate station on Vorobyovskaya Embankment, and the lower station on Luzhnetskaya Embankment. The cable car takes just five minutes to travel from Vorobyovy Gory to Luzhniki, compared to 15-20 minutes by car. The cable car ride will cost tourists 400-500 rubles.
