Capri authorities plan to introduce special measures to limit the number of tourists during the high season, RIA Novosti reports, citing The Sun.

The mayor of the island, Gianni De Martino, whose words the publication cites, stated that the planned measures will be similar to those were introduced in test mode in Venice.
How the island's authorities plan to restrict tourist flow has not yet been clarified, but if they choose the route taken by Venice, they will likely introduce separate routes for tourists and install turnstiles at iconic landmarks.
As a reminder, there are already restrictions in place for tourists on Capri: access to the island by car is only possible between November and April.
Capri welcomes over two million tourists annually. The island's most popular area is the port, where day trips from Naples take place.
