On the eve of the holiday, Gorki Gorod resort management decided to congratulate all veterans of the Krasnopolyansky District. For this purpose, approximately 50 gift baskets were prepared, containing, along with the standard selection of food and drinks, Delicious surprises from the resort's shops and restaurants. Warm congratulations, flowers, and gifts were delivered to the veterans' homes. As well as an invitation to visit the resort on May 9th—on Victory Day, the Gorki Gorod resort will host a series of themed events.
The morning of May 9, 2018, will begin with commemorative events: at 10:00 a.m., resort representatives will take part in a rally near School No. 65 in Krasnaya Polyana, the Immortal Regiment march, and at 11:00 a.m., a flower-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier memorial.
Starting at 9:00 AM, the Gorki Gorod resort's radio station will begin broadcasting songs from the war years, and throughout the day, a video featuring photos of veterans and slides of the war will be shown on all monitors throughout the resort and the Gorki Gorod Mall. Reception staff will wear caps with St. George ribbons, and waiters at veterans' events will wear military uniforms.
10:00 – 15:00 – a field kitchen is open at the Gorki Gorod Mall shopping center;
12:00 – concert and gala dinner for veterans at the Olivio restaurant (Marriott Krasnaya Polyana Hotel);
2:00 PM – The culmination of the event: the launch of doves into the sky, a photo session for veterans (Gorki Gorod resort grounds, near the Marriott Krasnaya Polyana Hotel)
15:00 — Concert program for guests of the Gorki Gorod resort on the square at the entrance to the Main Cable Car (elevation +540 m). The creative team of the Sochi College of Arts has been invited to perform.
