An ATM selling cryptocurrency has been installed at Amsterdam Airport. The machine is currently operating in test mode—the pilot project aims to determine demand for this service among air passengers, reports Travel.ru.
The Bitcoin ATM is located in the public area of Arrivals Hall 2 (this corridor also serves as access to Departures Halls 1 and 2). The Bitcoin ATM sells two cryptocurrencies: Bitcoin and Ethereum. Each passenger can purchase up to 100 euros worth of cryptocurrency.
The airport believes that some passengers flying outside the eurozone will want to get rid of their remaining euros this way. The testing will continue until the end of the year.
