The most delicious national dishes of the world have been named

Lonely Planet experts evaluated the taste, preparation methods, and ingredients of 500 of the most popular national dishes served in cafes and restaurants around the world and selected the top ten.

Pintxos topped the national dish rankings. This is a Spanish appetizer that is served With wine or beer in bars. Pinchos were first made in San Sebastian. They are miniature sandwiches available in various variations—with asparagus, tuna, anchovies, or garlic mushrooms. Unlike tapas, pinchos are considered a more sophisticated snack.

In second place is a spicy coconut milk soup with curry and laksa noodles, which is prepared in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and in third place is traditional Japanese sushi from Tokyo.

Also making the top ten most delicious dishes were: beef brisket from Texas, spicy som tam salad from Bangkok, Danish smorrerbrods from Copenhagen, and freshly caught crayfish from Kaikoura, New Zealand. Rounding out the list were South Korean bibimbap, a rice dish with vegetables, meat, and egg, Neapolitan pizza Margherita, and dim sum from Hong Kong.

According to Lonely Planet, the food tourists sample on their travels reveals the habits and traditions of locals, and each dish has its own story. Therefore, travel and cuisine are closely intertwined.
