Turkish Airlines plans to deploy a Boeing 737 MAX 9 aircraft on the Istanbul-Moscow route next year. The carrier expects to operate the aircraft on a night flight starting October 27, according to Travel.ru.
We are talking about departure from Istanbul (apparently a new airport) at 0.40, arriving at Vnukovo at 3:30, departing at 4:25, and arriving in Istanbul at 7:30. Depending on capacity, this flight is currently served by other narrow-body aircraft—Boeing 737-800, Airbus A320, or Airbus A321.
Turkish Airlines has ordered 10 Boeing 737 MAX 9 aircraft, with deliveries scheduled to begin next year. This summer, the company began receiving slightly smaller Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft (65 of which have been ordered), but Turkish Airlines primarily uses this aircraft on African routes. The Boeing 737 MAX series aircraft differ from their predecessors in the Boeing 737 family by offering increased range, reduced noise and emissions, and a more comfortable cabin.
