In Sibay, scammers have begun selling trips to Crimea for a thousand rubles.

City authorities previously promised to send children affected by hydrogen sulfide emissions from an abandoned copper ore quarry to the peninsula free of charge.

At an operational meeting in the Sibay administration, Deputy Minister of Health of Bashkortostan Dinara Yenikeeva reported that scammers are trying to profit from the current situation and are spreading offers of travel packages for nominal prices on social media. She also asked Sibay residents not to respond to such information, as all travel packages to Crimea are free and will be available only to those who need them most.

It's worth noting that the administration of the Sibay urban district in the Republic of Bashkortostan has already begun compiling lists of children who will be sent to Crimea for sanatorium treatment.

“The list will primarily include children living in the area adjacent to the sanitary protection zone and children who require sanatorium treatment for medical reasons,” the administration’s official website reported.

As a reminder, last December, residents of Sibay began complaining of a pungent sulfur smell and thick smog. Subsequently, residents began experiencing respiratory problems. It was later determined that the cause was hydrogen sulfide emissions from an abandoned copper ore quarry. Sulfur dioxide and other harmful substances in the air were found to be significantly exceeding standards in the city.
