The Montenegrin authorities have once again attempted to regulate the issue of smoking in public places by banning sources of tobacco smoke in closed spaces. Previously, despite the adopted bans, people smoked freely in cafes and restaurants in the country, which outraged tourists with children, who were forced to breathe in tobacco smoke even in closed spaces.
Now the authorities promise to strictly fine smokers and owners of establishments where the smoking ban is violated. The fines for violators range from 30 to 1,000 euros, and the owner of an establishment where smoking is allowed indoors can pay a fine of 500 to 20 thousand euros. The ban includes not only tobacco products, but also hookahs, vapes and electronic cigarettes. According to the new law, smoking is only allowed in casinos, reports our own correspondent Travel.ru.
