Ticket prices for flights between September and October decreased on both domestic and international routes. Biletix told TRN that the average roundtrip ticket within Russia fell by 1.61₽, while international tickets fell by 3.81₽.

In turn, the most Popular domestic destinations during the Velvet Season included Sochi, Simferopol, Anapa, Mineralnye Vody, and Krasnodar. International destinations included Tivat, Barcelona, Bali, Tel Aviv, and Yerevan. 561,000 early bookings were for domestic destinations and 441,000 for international destinations.
According to Biletix analytics, the average trip duration during the Velvet Season is 12 days. Moreover, travelers book their flights three months in advance, or 92 days, on average.
The age distribution of tourists changes significantly during the Velvet Season. While in the summer, the key travel age group is 30 to 35, during the Velvet Season, it's 55 to 60 years old.
The cheapest routes, based on prices for air tickets booked at the beginning of August for September–October, were Moscow–Kaliningrad (the average round-trip ticket price was 4,263 rubles), Rostov-on-Don–St. Petersburg (4,315 rubles), Samara–Moscow (4,802 rubles), Krasnodar–Kaliningrad (5,019 rubles), and Samara–St. Petersburg (5,189 rubles).
The largest price drop compared to last year was demonstrated by the routes Moscow - Kaliningrad (the average bill price decrease was -37%), Rostov-on-Don - Moscow (-29%), Moscow - Krasnodar (-27%), Krasnodar - Yerevan (-22%) and Tyumen - Sochi (-21%).
