The Russian Embassy in the Philippines has warned tourists about ash emissions from the active Taal Volcano on the island of Luzon.

On January 12, one of the Philippines' most active volcanoes erupted in ash, causing Manila airports to temporarily suspend all flights. Residents of the island where the volcano is located have been evacuated," reads a statement published on the agency's official Twitter page.
In addition, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs warned tourists about the suspension of operations at Manila Airport in the Philippines.
"Philippines — Taal Volcano on Luzon Island produced ash plumes reaching a height of one kilometer. Approximately 80,000 people in Batangas Province have been evacuated. Manila Airport operations have been temporarily suspended. Passengers are advised to contact their airline," the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Crisis Management Center (DSCC) reported on Twitter.
