In 2019, Vnukovo International Airport broke its all-time record and handled over 24 million passengers, an increase of 121,000 passengers, or 2.5 million passengers, compared to 2018.

“For the whole of 2018, Vnukovo Airport served 21 million 478 thousand passengers, and in 2019 this figure “The goal was already reached on November 14,” the airport’s press service reported.
It is noted that the airport was able to achieve such high performance thanks to the use of the latest cutting-edge technologies from the world's largest air hubs and the implementation of its own innovative developments.
"This record-breaking figure is primarily due to passenger choice. Management, in turn, is ensuring the continuous development of the airport's infrastructure and dynamic growth in traffic volumes for its partner airlines. Currently, 28 airlines operate flights from Vnukovo," the airport added.
Furthermore, Vnukovo's terminals feature cutting-edge technologies, including security systems, IT, and utility systems, designed to make passenger service faster, better, and more cost-effective. The airport has implemented one of the most advanced airport management information systems. Its key benefits include the accurate and timely provision of airport services, a modern baggage handling system, and a revolutionary video surveillance system throughout the terminal. For example, arriving passengers can view their baggage being unloaded onto the baggage carousel on special monitors.
