Tourists from the Volgograd Region are unaware of the region's attractions. Meanwhile, travelers from other regions of Russia only visit Volgograd for one day, according to a tourism committee information representative. Volgograd Region's Elena Potapova in Sochi during the first regional semi-final of the "Masters of Hospitality" competition.

"We have many interesting attractions, but unfortunately, few people know about them. The vast majority of tourists come to Volgograd to visit Mamayev Kurgan. As a result, no one comes here for more than a day. Moreover, the city's hotels are only fully booked once a year—on May 9," she said, emphasizing that the tourism potential of both the city and the region needs serious promotion.
"Volgograd residents themselves don't know where to go within their region. Therefore, we need to promote the region, first and foremost, among local residents. We are currently planning an interactive exhibition that will showcase the region's full tourism potential. We have the Mars Glade, monasteries, and numerous nature reserves. But, unfortunately, almost no one knows about them," Elena Potapova concluded.
It's worth noting that the "Masters of Hospitality" competition will evaluate, in addition to participants' knowledge and competencies, their original hospitality projects. The best projects will receive support and be implemented in Russia's regions.
