From March 4, 2020, Aeroflot introduces a new fare group, “Basic/Base,” for Business and Comfort classes.

Tickets purchased at the new fare are non-refundable but more affordable. The new fare group is "Basic/Base." “This applies to the entire route network of the Aeroflot Group, including flights of its subsidiaries Rossiya and Aurora (there are exceptions),” the carrier’s press service reported.
In addition, passengers traveling in Business Class on the Basic fare will be provided with traditional privileges: advance seat selection and access to lounges at Russian and international airports.
"The ticket price also includes carry-on baggage and one piece of checked baggage weighing no more than 32 kg. Passengers traveling in Comfort Class on the Basic fare can pre-select their seat, carry-on baggage, and one piece of checked baggage weighing no more than 23 kg. If needed, passengers can purchase an additional piece of checked baggage in advance at a discount when booking or after purchasing their ticket on the website, in the mobile app, at sales offices, and at authorized agents. A baggage discount is also available on the day of departure, but only if paid for through the Aeroflot website or mobile app," the company added.
In addition, the airline noted that Aeroflot Bonus Platinum, Gold, and Silver members, as well as SkyTeam Elite and Elite Plus frequent flyer loyalty programs, continue to be entitled to carry additional baggage in accordance with their status.
"We regularly analyze the needs of key customer groups, as well as global experience and trends, and continually refine our fare range. The new fare family will complement and expand our existing offering. The 'Base' fare is suitable for those who are more intentional about planning their future flights and travel, value comfort and premium service, and are also prudent in their spending," said Andrey Chikhanchin, Deputy CEO for Commerce and Finance at PJSC Aeroflot.
