On May 3, travel to Vnukovo Airport by metro was difficult

On Friday, May 3, two of the metro stations closest to Moscow's Vnukovo Airport, Salaryevo and Rumyantsevo, will be closed. This is due to the connection of future Sokolnicheskaya Line stations to the network, reports Travel.ru.

This will make metro travel to Vnukovo Airport somewhat more difficult. Passengers who do decide to use the Sokolnicheskaya Line will have to either take the infrequently running 611 bus from Yugo-Zapadnaya Station or take the free KM shuttle from there to Salaryevo Station and then transfer to bus 911 to the airport. Furthermore, the heavy use of KM shuttles may hinder travel along the Kyiv Highway.

An alternative is the recently opened Solntsevskaya Line—you can take it to the Rasskazovka terminus and transfer there to bus number 32. This isn't the fastest option, but it's probably more reliable for May 3rd. Drivers and taxi customers should also check the traffic conditions on the Kiev Highway and use alternative routes if necessary.
