Aeroexpress launches Lastochka trains on the Vnukovo route

The company is launching Lastochka family electric trains on the Kyiv Station – Vnukovo Airport route.

Two five-car ES2G electric trains are operating on the route. Each train has over 400 seats. The cars are equipped with soft seats, luggage compartments, shelves, sockets, Wi-Fi network, restrooms.

"Extending the Aeroexpress route from Sheremetyevo Airport to Odintsovo will significantly increase passenger traffic on this route. Therefore, the decision was made to redistribute and upgrade the rolling stock: to launch high-capacity double-decker Aeroexpress trains on the Sheremetyevo route, and to introduce Lastochka trains on the Vnukovo route, which are no less comfortable for travel to the airport," Aeroexpress CEO Alina Bisembaeva noted.

The Lastochka high-speed train was developed on the Siemens Desiro platform for Russian Railways in 2011. To date, over two hundred Lastochka trains of all types have been produced. Today, Lastochka trains operate on commuter and interregional routes in several regions of Russia, as well as on the Moscow Central Circle (MCC) in Moscow.

Please note that the schedule and travel times for Aeroexpress trains on the Vnukovo route will not change.

You can find the train schedule on the website aeroexpress.ru and in the Aeroexpress mobile app, by calling the hotline at 8-800-700-33-77 (for calls from regions of Russia and mobile phones) and 8-495-663-84-10 (for calls from Moscow), or by contacting company employees at the terminals.
