Aeroflot: Free transportation of diving/surfing equipment extended for another year

Aeroflot has extended the free transportation of surfing (kitesurfing/wakeboarding/windsurfing) and diving equipment to selected resorts. The promotion now applies to flights to Bangkok, Phuket, Ho Chi Minh City, Male, Colombo, Tel Aviv, Cairo, Denpasar (Bali) and Tenerife, reports Travel.ru's own correspondent.

The promotion has been extended for almost a year ahead - this time for tickets purchased before October 24 next year and flights until November 24. It is likely that the period will then be extended again.

Free transportation is only available on flights operated by Aeroflot and its subsidiaries (Rossiya, Aurora), including transfer routes with an initial or final destination in Bangkok, Phuket, Ho Chi Minh City, Male, Colombo, Tel Aviv, Cairo, Denpasar and Tenerife. In this case, the transportation of equipment must be agreed upon in advance through Aeroflot call centers or offices. The offer is not valid for flights on aircraft of carriers that are not part of the Aeroflot group, even if their flights are included in the same ticket. It is also not valid for baggage-free fares.

The total weight of diving or surfing equipment checked in as baggage must not exceed 23 kilograms. This equipment is not included in the passenger's other baggage weight.

A surfing kit may include a surfboard, a mount, a wetsuit, a pair of boots (plus other accessories, the total weight of which is no more than 5 kilograms). A diving kit may include a buoyancy compensator, a wetsuit, a helmet, gloves, boots or fins. It is also permissible to carry other equipment (a pressure gauge, a regulator (octopus), a mask with a snorkel and other accessories), the weight of which should not exceed 5 kilograms.
