Aeroflot cancelled 76 flights on February 13

Aeroflot announced numerous flight delays and cancellations due to expected worsening weather conditions in Moscow. On Wednesday, February 13, 76 Aeroflot flights were cancelled and dozens more were significantly delayed. Changes to the schedule for Monday, January 28, are also possible, reports Travel.ru's own correspondent.

Passengers should be aware that delays and cancellations may also affect other Aeroflot flights not yet listed in the "News" section of the company's website. Specifically, four more flights have been cancelled due to the general strike in Belgium. Passengers should check the status of their flight on the airline's and airport information boards before traveling to the airport.

Delays and isolated flight cancellations are also possible for other airlines flying to Sheremetyevo, as well as for some carriers flying to other Moscow airports. Passengers flying to these airports should also check the status of their flights before leaving for the airport.

Passengers experiencing a flight delay or cancellation have the right to a full refund or to change to a more convenient flight than the one offered by the airline. By default, most airlines relocate passengers on canceled flights to the next available flight, even if that flight is on the following day. Passengers are not obligated to accept the airline's offer and can choose a more convenient flight. Furthermore, the carrier is obligated to provide meals to passengers delayed for more than four hours, and hotel accommodations for passengers delayed for more than eight hours during the day or six hours at night. Passengers of any airline should monitor the status of their flight one to two days before departure to be able to promptly respond to potential changes.
