Koltsovo Airport in Yekaterinburg welcomed its 6 millionth passenger.

For the first time in the history of Koltsovo International Airport, it welcomed its 6 millionth passenger since the beginning of this year. A passenger on flight U6-205 from Yekaterinburg to Mineralnye Vody received gifts from the airport: free access to the airport's business lounges. Koltsovo will offer free flights with Ural Airlines throughout the year, according to the airport's official website.

"Six million passengers is a very high benchmark and one of this year's important results. Today's figure is the culmination of the work accomplished at the airport in recent years. We are constantly working to develop infrastructure, improve service, create a favorable environment for air carriers, and, of course, provide the most comfortable conditions for passengers," said Alexey Piskunov, Executive Director of Koltsovo Airport PJSC.

He also noted that over the first 11 months of this year, Koltsovo Airport handled 5.7 million passengers, an increase of 13.7 million compared to last year. From the beginning of the year through November, passenger traffic on international flights also increased significantly—by 9.7 million passengers—and on domestic flights by 161 million, compared to last year's figures. The airport's most popular destinations were Moscow, Antalya, St. Petersburg, Sochi, and Novosibirsk.
