Milan's Linate Airport will be closed for three months, from July 27 to October 27, due to reconstruction of its only runway. The passenger terminal will also be modernized during this period, according to a Travel.ru correspondent.
Most flights normally operating to Linate have been cancelled for this period. Some carriers, however, have increased the number of flights to neighboring airports—Milan's largest, Malpensa, as well as Bergamo Airport. Bus and train service to Malpensa will be increased during these three months.
Passengers who previously booked Linate flights during these three months will be relocated to nearby airports. They can also return their tickets without penalty.
